Renewable Energy systems generally fall into two categories:

1- Stand Alone systems are completely grid independent and use large batteries to store energy which is then used to power the building at night or in overcast/ windless conditions.

2- Grid Connect systems for when you wish to supplement your grid energy and be able to sell power back to the grid. When there is no sun or wind present, your home will use the power from the grid.
